WHAT IS InSEA'S MISSION?

InSEA has established an international community dedicated to promoting, networking, and advancing research and practice in arts education by providing a global networking platform for its members. InSEA aims to help members share ideas and projects, as well as promote dialogue about the contribution that art can make to education. Our members share methods and practices in arts education; collaborate in international projects that promote awareness of cultural diversity and may publish research and praxis reports in the Society's peer-reviewed journals - IJETA and IMAG, books and catalogs mainly in electronic format. InSEA organizes a World Congress every two years; thematic seminars and several regional congresses in the intervening years in different countries of the world. At these events, members come together to share knowledge and build a stronger network. InSEA honors outstanding art educators with a total of five special international awards at regional and world conferences. The Society is regularly consulted on national and international artistic, cultural and educational policies, for example, artistic education in schools, universities, museums and other cultural institutions, as well as on the broader educational offer, such as social and community organizations
