José Eugenio Rubilar Medina: Interrogating the senses of Identity: Actions and connections of an inquiry deployed in the university museum space.

InSea's invitation to be radical is an urge to deepen our gaze on artistic educational action without ignoring the fertile fields of doing and undoing. This implies a permanent rethinking and constant responsibility in relation to our actions and decision-making as teachers. This ethical exercise that involves thinking, reevaluating and questioning oneself about what we do and the place that we are giving to our pedagogical practices, creative and socializing processes, and learning experiences at the University. This poster is a vanishing point of a broader investigation carried out together with the students of the Art and Heritage course of the Degree in Pedagogy in Visual Arts at the University of Concepción (Chile). In order to carry out a situated project, a meeting was organized in one of the permanent exhibition rooms of the University Art Gallery. In this museum context, an inclusive, dynamic and somewhat didactic network of action and exchange was taking shape, in which bodies, objects, spaces, imaginations, tensions, controversies and uncertainties intersected. A deployment that, by way of drift, led to an exploration of the museum space to meet the works (or that they found us), walking, stopping, sitting down and, as we became part of the environment, begin to inhabit it to build connections around art, education, museum and heritage. A movement of action and thought that, recognizing the place of our political assemblages and the possibilities of the emergent, led us to question the senses of identity housed in us and in the university museum space. We find in the cartographies an action that places us in a network and predisposes us to the relationship, weaving a map so that our subjectivities connect with themes, experiences, concerns, images, objects, etc. An intersubjective experience that invites us to overcome disciplinary boundaries and dichotomous precepts, proposing alternative routes to challenge the authority and segregation of all hegemonic representation, thus allowing us to expand the forms of expression, creation and co-construction of knowledge in the University .
