In this study we present the results of an artistic educational research action developed by researchers from the University of Valencia and the University of Castilla-La Mancha, focused on the development and use of artistic photography as a resource for knowledge and reflective analysis of the environment. local and patrimonial, from the static image. The research was carried out in five secondary education institutes in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha, (Spain). All of them located in rural environments, since the objective of the action was to deepen in a special way how young people exert their gaze on their own heritage and local landscape, and how this is incorporated into the development of their identity.
