María del Carmen Bellido-Márquez, María Dolores Álvarez-Rodríguez and Pedro Atencia-Barrero: ICT and artistic education. The BlogQuest as a resource in plastic and visual education. An action-research proposal in Compulsory Secondary Education

The dynamics of learning activities have been considerably enriched with the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). These tools are in line with the new educational methodologies contemplated in the current legislation in this regard. In this work, the advantages of using BlogQuest are studied, compiling its excellence within artistic education, in general, and, especially, focused on that imparted within Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) and put into practice in the Plastic Education subject visual and audiovisual. The objective of the investigation is to explore the repercussion of the application of this resource in the exposed field by means of the design of an activity of this type, application and subsequent analysis of its repercussion in the classroom. Specifically, this is analyzed with the WebQuest "A design with a lot of art" in which each of the sections that make it up are developed: introduction, task, process, resources, evaluation and conclusion. The work methodology is action-research and contemplates the design and implementation of an educational research strategy, which is completed through surveys, questionnaires and direct observation of the teacher, to continue with an analysis of its results. In conclusion, the advantages of using a methodology based on the use of new technologies give students an active role in the construction of their knowledge and facilitate meaningful learning. Similarly, the WebQuest tool considerably improves the use given to the information present on the Internet and the academic results of the students, which is why their learning with it is positively valued. At the same time, it has been possible to design and practice a homework model based on this tool, which updates the way of teaching and learning, inviting students to participate in a creative and dynamic teaching innovation and motivating teachers to introduce themselves to the classroom of new proactive activities.
